Senior Product Owner | Hybrid Working | Melbourne Preferred | Turn Experience into Impact
Bupa is seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner to join our Health Insurance Operations CRM team. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to shape strategic CRM initiatives, deliver transformational business change, and partner with senior stakeholders across multiple Agile squads.
The preferred location is Melbourne, however candidates based in NSW or QLD may also be considered. This role operates under a hybrid working model, with an expectation of two days per week in the office.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Product Owner at Bupa, you will act as the 'glue' between customers, business stakeholders, and delivery teams. You will lead end-to-end delivery across CRM initiatives, ensuring the right products are built in the right way.
You will:
* Lead an Apollo Delivery Squad, collaborating with Delivery Managers to deliver transformational capabilities aligned to the CRM Strategic Roadmap.
* Engage with business stakeholders, squad leaders, and stream sponsors to understand priorities, provide thought leadership, and define the future state strategy.
* Be an active member of the Design Authority Forum, reporting on progress, risks, and dependencies.
* Collaborate with internal and external technology delivery teams, monitoring vendor performance and ensuring outputs meet quality and capability metrics.
* Translate business requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories, and gain business sign-off to guide delivery.
* Identify strategic improvements, including Dynamics 365 upgrades, workflow optimization, and enhanced reporting capabilities.
* Mentor and guide other Product Owners to ensure consistency in methodology, practices, and approach.
* Manage the team backlog, define release and sprint goals, and support implementation, testing, and UAT.
* Work closely with data and analytics teams to capture customer behaviours and inform product development.
About You
You are a confident, analytical, and collaborative Senior Product Owner with a proven track record of delivering complex enterprise change initiatives. You thrive in fast-paced environments, can navigate ambiguity, and influence senior stakeholders.
You will bring:
* Proven experience as a Senior Product Owner leading transformational business change through technology and process improvements, ideally in CRM.
* Experience managing vendor relationships, both onshore and offshore.
* Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Agile, Lean, and human-centred design principles.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills.
* Strong business acumen and ability to assess change impacts across complex operational environments.
* Experience mentoring and uplifting other Product Owners or BAs.
* Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Rally, Miro, or Lucidchart.
* Tertiary qualifications in IT, Information Systems, or equivalent (desirable).
* Agile certifications and health insurance or healthcare domain experience (desirable).
