Wesley Youth Mentoring needs kind and compassionate volunteers who can bring connection and fun to disadvantaged young people in your community.
Whether it be going to watch or play footy or teaching them how to change a tyre, the connection you build is what matters most!
Whats involved?
Face to face visits once a month at a time that suits both you (the volunteer) and the young person/their family.
Volunteers in our program give young people the experience and perks of a reliable relationship and a positive adult they can look up to.
Together you will do a range of fun activities and easy everyday things that expose the young person to new and different activities that help build confidence, social and life skills.As a volunteer in this role you would be supported by a dedicated case manager from Wesley Mission.RequirementsOver the age of 21Willing to undergo Working with Children Checks and Criminal History ChecksPhysically fitAble to participate in youth appropriate activities i.e. sports, community eventsCurrent drivers licenceAble to commit for 12 monthsCome and join our volunteer team and be a positive influence in a young persons life.
