CONSTANT is an industry leader in security and workforce solutions within Australian supporting clients within the Retail, Arts and Entertainment and Student Accommodation sectors.
We currently have a permanent part time vacancy available for a Security Officer to support a well known retailer within Tweed Heads. Hourly rates for this role are aligned with Level 1 of the Security Services Award. Shifts will be available Monday to Sunday, and will be discussed in more detail at phone screening stage of our recruitment process.
The primary objective of this role will be to discreetly deter theft, prevent loss, and support a safe shopping environment for both staff and customers within a well-known retailer.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide a customer service and safety presence at entries and points of payment maintaining an effective security presence.
* Perform visual surveillance to identify and deter theft, shoplifting, or suspicious activity.
* Provide swift and professional responses to incidents, supporting staff and emergency procedures as appropriate.
* Support adherence to both the retailer and Constant's operational, safety, and security protocols.
* Deliver respectful and professional assistance to staff, customers, and delivery teams during busy trading periods.
* Accurately complete electronic shift, incident, and compliance reports.
* Engage with management, emergency services, and wider security teams as needed.

Key requirements:
* Current security licence (VIC or appropriate state/territory equivalent).
* Nationally accredited First Aid and CPR certifications.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong personal responsibility, able to work both independently and collaboratively in a diverse team.
* Ability to obtain or maintain any additional required checks (e.g., RSA, Working with Children Check).
