The Role:
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Redress Case Worker. This is a part-time position, working 38 hours per fortnight (flexible on days and hours), for a 12 month contract with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform initial intake and assessment procedures
* Develop intervention plans, crisis support and safety plans as required
* Undertake case work activities and assess the issues and needs of the client
* Provide information, advice and referrals to organisations that provide assistance and options to people
* Educate and train members of the general public and service providers about the National Redress Scheme
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Psychology, Social Work or Counselling, along with training and experience related to delivering trauma-informed counselling services
* Current accreditation with a relevant professional body
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience of delivering counselling for people who experience complex trauma and recovery approaches to intervention
* Exceptional client service ability including being able to deal with clients in distress
* A positive notice from Disability Services Queensland based on mandatory criminal history screening
