CDM Hydraulics are a locally owned business located in beautiful Kununurra, in the Kimberley WA. We work hard during the week, and have the weekends off to enjoy the fantastic Kimberley lifestyle - fishing, camping, boating, rodeos, races plus tonnes of fun community events throughout the year. Kununurra is at the doorstep of Lake Argyle, The Gibb River Road, Bungle Bungles and so much more.
We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Kununurra.
Our business is located in Kununurra, however we also service a lot of remote work so you will get to see some of the most amazing places in the Kimberley!
This is a full-time role. We are able to provide accommodation assistance.
What you\'ll be doing
* Conducting routine maintenance and inspections on heavy diesel equipment such as trucks, bulldozers, and excavators
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and efficient manner
* Rebuilding and overhauling components as required
* Maintaining detailed records of all work performed
* Collaborating with the wider team to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality
* Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
What we\'re looking for
* Formal qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics
* Certificate IV in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or a related field is required
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* The ability to work independently
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
* Commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to risk management
* Effective communication and teamwork skills
* A valid driver\'s licence
* Class C (Car) driver\'s licence is required
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required
