**Position**: Payroll Officer
**Reports to**: Finance Manager
**Division**: Finance
**Location**: Sydney

Managing the Payroll function, responsible for the start-to-finish process of payroll, including processing and payment, managing employee deductions, maintaining leave records, setting up new employees, handling end-of-year payroll reports, paying superannuation, liaising with employees, Operations, and HR, and maintaining employee card files.

**Responsibilities**:

- Processing and paying fortnightly payroll accurately and timely** for around 400-450 people** according to approved rosters
- Processing and paying payroll deductions
- Processing and paying staff leave as per approved forms
- Setting up employee card files accurately and completely
- Handling end-of-year reports and summaries promptly
- Managing ATO payroll reporting through single touch payroll
- Paying monthly employee superannuation and salary sacrifice on time
- Maintaining and managing employee card files, including termination dates
- Ensuring detailed and accurate records are maintained and organized filing system
- Assisting with accounts payable when required
- Assisting Finance Manager and CFO when required
- **Payroll Processing Expertise**: Demonstrated experience in managing and processing payroll from start to finish for more than 400 people, including knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- **Attention to Detail**: Ability to maintain accurate records, process payments, and manage deductions with precision.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong communication skills to liaise with employees, Operations, and HR regarding timesheets, leave requests, and payroll queries.
- **Compliance Knowledge**: Understanding of ATO payroll reporting requirements, including single touch payroll, and ability to ensure compliance.
- **Organizational Skills**: Ability to manage and maintain employee card files, including termination dates, and maintain a structured and organized filing system.
