The UGL/TasWater alliance are currently recruiting for a Quality & Completions Engineer to help with managing the inspection, testing, commissioning and handover process for a specific project. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering fully verified and operational assets ready for long-term use. Please note, this is a Full time, Fixed-Term role.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and maintain digital completion systems, coordinate handover processes and ensure all documentation is finalised and submitted accurately.
* Develop and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's) and commissioning procedures to meet project and regulatory requirements.
* Provide technical support for commissioning works, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery.
* Liase with design, construction, procurement, ad asset teams to resolve technical issues and ensure accurate, timely documentation.
* Maintain compliance with quality standards (e.g ISO9001), perform audits, and promote continuous improvement in quality and completions processes.
About You
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering discipline, with demonstrated experience in infrastructure or utilities projects.
* Proven track record in managing or supporting inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover processes – ideally within water, wastewater, or similar sectors.
* Knowledge of ISO9001 and other quality management systems, including the ability to develop and audit Inspection & Test Plans (ITP's) and QA documentation.
* Ability to liaise across multidisciplinary teams (design, construction, asset management, regulators), with strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
* Experience using digital completion, systems, defect tracking tools, and document management platforms to streamline project closeout and compliance.

TasWater Capital Delivery Office
TasWater's Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is responsible for delivering TasWater's major infrastructure projects. These extensive, interesting, and varied works form part of TasWater's $1.2 billion, capital works program that is being rolled out across the state of Tasmania.
The CDO is an alliance formed between TasWater, CPB Contractors, and UGL Limited (both members of the CIMIC Group) along with WSP Australia, to create the TasWater Capital Delivery Office. Our business delivers timely, cost-effective, quality capital works solutions to meet the needs of TasWater stakeholders, and communities across Tasmania. While ensuring the best long-term water supply and sewage treatment solutions are out in place, we are also introducing new technologies.
