Job Opportunity

The Tamworth South Public School is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Assistant Principal to join our leadership team. This key role involves driving the school's strategic goals in line with the Department of Education's priorities.

As an exemplary classroom teacher with strong leadership skills, you will work closely with the Principal, staff, and the wider school community to build a positive, inclusive, research-based and supportive school culture.

You will need to be passionate about supporting and developing capable staff and leading wellbeing and curriculum initiatives that promote continuous growth and excellent student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Developing and implementing effective strategies to drive student learning outcomes
* Leading wellbeing and curriculum initiatives to promote student growth and development
* Working collaboratively with staff to build a positive and inclusive school culture

Requirements:

* Approval to teach infants and/or primary
* Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
* Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
* Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning

* Describing your outstanding curriculum knowledge to maximise student learning outcomes
* Demonstrated capability and expertise in strengthening a dynamic and inclusive school-wide approach to student wellbeing
* Outline your leadership experiences in schools and describe the approaches you have used to lead teams, manage programs, and drive school improvement

Conditions:

* An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement
* Applicants are required to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application
