My client is a global technology business who provide a range of products and services to a diverse customer network including mining, government and defence among others. The business has grown over the years as a result of organic growth and acquisition and is planning on further expansion which this General Manager will play a key role in delivering. Description
As the General Manager, you will oversee the business operations including commercial, sales and technical. Initially, the key focus will be driving a high performance culture centred around accountability, setting performance standards and delivering consistency of results. Other key focus areas will include:
1. Lead and embed a high-performance culture across all levels of the business.
2. Establish clear accountability frameworks, KPIs, and performance expectations.
3. Oversee full P&L responsibility, ensuring strong financial discipline and commercial results.
4. Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to drive profitability and business sustainability.
5. Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth and increase market share.
6. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with the strategic objectives of the business.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
8. Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve strategic and operational excellence.
Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate proven experience in a senior leadership role with a track record of driving cultural and commercial transformation. You will have strong business acumen, including deep understanding of financial management across P&L, budgeting and forecasting.
Your track record in improving performance standards and building accountable, outcomes-driven teams while attracting and retaining top talent will be a big part of your skill set. You will be passionate about driving sales growth, market expansion, and customer engagement strategies in a technical market.
Furthermore, you will present with excellent communication, empathetic leadership, and customer orientated stakeholder management skills.
