Flexible working location for the right candidate (DCS headquarter location). Hybrid working available.

About the team

The Service NSW Training Team plays a critical role in building organisational capability and driving service excellence across the enterprise. Through the design, development, and delivery of high impact, tailored learning solutions, we support a diverse workforce operating in dynamic and complex environments.

The team partners closely with business leaders to ensure training programs are contemporary, scalable, and embedded in operational practice.

About the role

The Senior Advisor of Training leads the delivery of large‐scale learning programs across the organisation. This role is responsible for designing and implementing training initiatives that support business goals, project outcomes, and overall strategy. They manage a team of up to 15 instructional designers and facilitators, ensuring high‐quality delivery across 35 to 40 projects at any given time.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead a geographically dispersed team across NSW, building a collaborative, high‐performing, and customer‐focused culture.
* Oversee around 100 training programs delivered face to face, virtually, and online, ensuring they are consistent and high quality.
* Guide the development, review, and continuous improvement of training programs so they align with organisational goals.
* Work closely with senior stakeholders and project leaders to understand impacts on people and provide strategic advice.
* Build and maintain strong partnerships, both internally and externally, to deliver effective and impactful learning programs.
* Coach, mentor, and support team members to strengthen capability and foster a high-performing, award‐winning culture.

Salary Service NSW Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at 130,705 base plus superannuation.
