About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our staff on a part-time 12-month contract. As a member of the Practice Nursing team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the clinic's General Practitioners and ensuring high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing nursing care and support to patients, including administering immunisations, dressing wounds, and other clinical tasks.
Key responsibilities include conducting health assessments, chronic disease management, and patient education as part of nurse-led clinics.
You will assist the GPs with various medical procedures and examinations, maintain and organise medical supplies and equipment, and coordinate patient follow-ups and manage appointment schedules.
In addition, you will communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the broader healthcare team, adhering to cold-chain management, infection control, and equipment processing policies.
Strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care are essential for this role.
Requirements
* Registered Nurse (Division 1) with a current AHPRA registration
* Demonstrated experience in a general practice or primary healthcare setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team
* Proficient in the use of medical software and technology
* A passion for continuous learning and professional development
