We're seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of high‐quality modular building projects. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our Design, Steel, Sales, Manufacturing and Project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle. Your expertise will ensure our cost estimates are accurate, competitive and fully aligned with project requirements, helping us deliver smart, efficient and value‐driven solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and interpret tender documents to accurately price building and installation packages.
* Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to achieve strong project outcomes.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities and risk/opportunity assessments.
* Prepare RFQs and scopes of work for subcontractors and clients.
* Conduct subcontractor interviews to reduce scope gaps and cost risks.
* Liaise with architects, engineers, builders, suppliers and clients to clarify requirements and source pricing.
* Provide pre‐ and post‐contract cost support to the Sales team.
* Analyse supplier and trade pricing to ensure value for money.
* Undertake peer reviews of estimates and maintain strong document control.
* Produce regular and ad‐hoc reports for management.
About You
* 3+ years' experience in a similar estimating role, ideally in construction or modular building.
* Strong industry knowledge and understanding of local markets.
* Ability to read and interpret building plans, with solid knowledge of building techniques and sequencing.
* Understanding of the Building Code of Australia.
* Proficiency with estimating software (CostX or similar).
* Advanced Excel and MS Project skills.
* Strong analytical, statistical and administrative capability with excellent attention to detail.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
* Strong stakeholder relationship skills.
* Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
