As a Developer II, you'll play a key role in the full software development lifecycle - designing, coding, testing, and documenting solutions that meet Curtin's evolving needs. Working within a dynamic agile team, you'll collaborate with product owners, UX designers, architects, testers, and other stakeholders to create impactful digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test, and document software solutions and enhancements.
* Collaborate in agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement and sprint planning.
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to setting technical standards.
* Provide Level 3 support for Curtin's systems and platforms.
* Mentor junior developers and support team capability growth.
* Stay current with emerging technologies, advocating for innovation and continuous improvement.
* Ensure accessibility, quality, and performance standards are met across solutions.
Selection Criteria:
Proven working experience with AWS Cloud, including hands-on expertise in the following services:
* AWS CDK, AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions
* Lambda
* API Gateway
* SNS/SQS
* ECS
* DynamoDB
* S3
* CloudWatch
Additional:
* Demonstrated success in agile software development environments.
* Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and ways of working.
* A collaborative mindset, with experience mentoring or supporting peers.
Desirable: Experience with cloud-based platforms, oracle PL/SQL, Statistical Analysis System (SAS) Data Integration Studio, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
Role Requirements:

3. Ability to work outside of normal office hours when required.
