Staff Specialist in Palliative Medicine – Manning Base Hospital

Location: Manning Base Hospital, Taree, NSW
Employment type: Permanent, Part‑time, 0.8 FTE
This is a fantastic chance for a dedicated Consultant to join our new multidisciplinary Specialist Palliative Care Hub, serving a population of approximately 100,000 people across the Lower Mid North Coast.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of seamless, person‑centred palliative and end‑of‑life care across acute settings, community services, and residential aged care homes.
- Use a hybrid model of face‑to‑face and virtual care to ensure equitable access and exceptional patient and family outcomes.
- Work within a supportive, district‑wide network of Palliative Care Staff Specialists.
- Enjoy a diverse range of palliative care presentations and participate in an on‑call roster.
- Play a key role in the continued growth and development of an expanding service.
Qualifications
- Primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians or Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM), or nearing completion within the next 6 months.
- Evidence of being a medical expert, demonstrated by recent and comprehensive experience in specialist‑led Palliative Medicine.
