Payroll Officer Role Description
About the role:
InfraBuild is seeking a motivated Payroll Officer to support our busy function in processing the fortnightly payroll in a timely and efficient manner.
This is a key position within our organization, responsible for managing workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and on time. You will be the primary point of contact for daily communication with key business stakeholders, reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports, analyze and process timesheets for multiple locations, understand taxation of employer paid benefits and PAYG, manage new starters and terminations, generate fortnightly and monthly financial reporting, leave processing/deductions/allowances/bonus/choice of super, and build and foster strong relationships across the business.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in payroll processing (3-5 years)
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, awards and ability to interpret Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs)
* Proficiency with SAP (preferred) or Kronos (desirable)
* Intermediate experience in Excel and ability to generate financial reports
* Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication
* High level of professionalism, dealing with sensitive and confidential documents and personal information
