Director of Sensitive Physical Examinations Program
Lead a pioneering initiative shaping clinical skills of future doctors. Oversee Clinical Teaching Associates and drive academic development within the Doctor of Medicine curriculum.
* Program Development: Coordinate, strategize, and implement policies for the Sensitive Physical Examinations Program.
* Team Management: Recruit, train, and support Clinical Teaching Associates to ensure a sustainable educator pool.
* Curriculum Innovation: Develop and review teaching materials aligned with advances in medical knowledge and educational practices.
* Quality Assurance: Implement scholarly approaches to continuous improvement of the program.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with health professional education programs and organizations to promote and expand the SPEP.
* Research Collaboration: Participate in collaborative research projects advancing sensitive physical examination education.
* Teaching and Mentorship: Teach and provide academic guidance to Clinical Teaching Associates and students.
Requirements:
* A Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or equivalent qualifications with expertise in sexual and reproductive health for all genders.
* Demonstrate a deep understanding of best-practice patient-centred sensitive physical examinations.
* Commitment to excellence in teaching medical or health professional students.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to build high-functioning teams.
* Record of scholarly publications and commitment to ongoing research.
* Hold or be working towards an educational qualification.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
