Revenue collection is at the heart of our team’s work. We are looking for individuals to join us in processing and recovering council revenue, including rates, water billing, and sundry debtors.
About the Role
* Provide quality advice and customer service, ensuring accurate processing, recovery, and reconciliation of council's revenue.
* Assist ratepayers and other debtors by offering expert advice and support on complex matters.
* Handle a variety of tasks, including assessing, calculating, issuing notices, collecting debts, maintaining data, and performing property inspections.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to maintain accurate and compliant processes.
We value effective communication as a key skill for this role, requiring strong interpersonal skills to handle complex and emotional matters professionally.
Additionally, you will need to demonstrate a sound understanding of local government legislation, policies, and procedures, as well as tertiary level qualifications in business, finance or accounting or demonstrated knowledge and experience in a large multifaceted environment.

* A competitive salary ranging from $72,400 per annum, with competency-based increments up to $85,000 per annum, plus 11.5% super.
