About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Maintenance Superintendent to lead our fixed plant and infrastructure maintenance function. This critical role will oversee the maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of screening, crushing, conveying, barge loading, and associated infrastructure assets.
Reporting to the GM/SSE, you will be responsible for ensuring plant availability and reliability meet production targets, while driving a proactive maintenance culture aligned with industry best practice and our zero-harm safety commitment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and mentor a team of maintenance supervisors, planners, and tradespeople.
* Develop and implement maintenance strategies for fixed plant and infrastructure to optimise availability and cost efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company standards, and OEM recommendations.
* Oversee preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
* Manage budgets, resources, and maintenance contracts effectively.
* Champion a strong safety culture and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with site SHMS/RSHQ and OHS legislation.
* Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and reliability teams to align priorities and meet operational goals.
About You
* Trade qualification or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
* Significant experience in fixed plant maintenance in the mining or heavy industrial sector, preferably bauxite or bulk commodities.
* Proven leadership skills in managing multi-disciplinary maintenance teams.
* Strong knowledge of asset management, reliability engineering, and CMMS systems.
* Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Ability to work in a remote mining environment on a rostered basis.
