Commercial Litigation Specialist: Insolvency Disputes

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Litigation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our insolvency disputes practice, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including corporations, high-net-worth individuals, and businesses navigating complex disputes.

\



\

As a Commercial Litigation Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to represent clients in a variety of commercial disputes, including contract disputes, insolvency matters, and regulatory investigations. You will conduct legal research, draft pleadings, prepare court documents, and manage case strategy.

Key Skills:

\
\
1. Admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Australia with at least 8+ years of post-admission experience (PQE) in commercial litigation
\
2. Strong litigation experience, including case management, drafting legal documents, and court advocacy
\
3. Exposure to insolvency matters and regulatory disputes is highly regarded
\
4. Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
\
5. Strong client relationship and communication skills
\
6. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
\
7. Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong expertise and knowledge in all areas of commercial litigation including court procedures, contract law, property law and debt recovery methods
\
8. The ideal candidate will also have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders including partners, lawyers, solicitors, barristers and staff members
\
9. A good understanding of the Australian legal system, laws, rules and regulations is essential for this role
\
10. Effective time management skills are required, with the ability to meet deadlines and priorities under pressure
\
11. Strong business acumen and an understanding of the broader business context within which the organisation operates
\
12. Experience with mediation and negotiation techniques is desirable
\
13. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
\
14. High level of proficiency in Windows-based computer systems and relevant software applications
\
15. Advanced IT skills and technical competence, including expert use of databases, spreadsheets and other productivity tools
\
16. Customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
\
17. Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
\
