About the Role
We are currently looking for a reliable and engaging Support Worker to assist a male participant in Moe. The role involves providing one-on-one support for approximately 6 hours every Tuesday. You will assist the participant with daily living activities, community access, and personal goals, including exploring self-employment opportunities and social outings such as trips to the city.
The ideal candidate will have excellent spoken English skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, naturally, and positively, as this is important to the participant's comfort and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the participant with daily living tasks and community involvement.
* Encourage independence and confidence in pursuing personal interests and goals.
* Provide transport and companionship for community activities.
* Maintain professional and friendly communication at all times.
* Follow individual support plans and report progress accurately.
What You Will Need:
* Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs.
* Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent (or working toward).
* NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
* Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
* Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 6 per week
Work Location: In person
