Overview
Millbrook Rise Centre is a 27-bed mental health facility located in the beautiful Derwent Valley, New Norfolk—a picturesque 35‐minute drive from Hobart with free on‐site parking. We are a consumer‐centred service focused on rehabilitation and recovery.
The Role
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is accountable for the design, implementation, assessment and evaluation of education programmes and for providing nursing expertise related to educational issues, aligning with the strategic priorities of the Nursing and Midwifery workforce and the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrated high‐level knowledge, skills and clinical expertise and the ability to lead nursing practice through the principles of Practice Development.
* Apply facilitation skills, learning and evaluation strategies in the clinical context, to further the development of a person‐centred culture, including the implementation and evaluation of professional development, education and training activities.
* Sound knowledge of contemporary education, health and career development issues and their impact on the knowledge and skill requirements of the nursing workforce.
Qualifications
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Post‐graduate qualifications in education and/or clinical teaching and learning, or currently working towards them.
* Post‐graduate qualifications around clinical/practice speciality relevant to the position, or currently working towards them.
Salary and Appointment
Permanent part‐time, day‐worker position, working up to 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary range $118,297 to $125,543 per annum (pro‐rata). 12% superannuation contribution on top of this amount. Salary packaging includes living expenses up to $9,010 plus $2,650 in meal entertainment per FBT year, and other benefits where eligible.
