About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and manage our construction arm, delivering client‐oriented construction services in line with our integrated property development business. This position is responsible for day‐to‐day operations and the development of strategic capability within construction, ensuring projects are consistently completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality. The General Manager will manage construction as a business unit that achieves its profit and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and update the Business Plan in line with the Group Corporate Plan for the 10‐year development program
* Build production capability to carry out the full building program
* Enhance all processes and systems for estimating, construction management, and contract administration
* Develop value engineering capability and D&C contract expertise
* Attract, nurture, and align a dedicated construction team
* Build leadership and management capability across the construction unit
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline; post‐graduate qualifications in commerce or management highly desirable
* Minimum 10 years of construction industry experience
* Previous experience as a General Manager or Senior Executive in a disciplined building company
* Strong organisational abilities and experience winning and controlling D&C contracts
* Sound financial and cost management understanding with a client‐focused approach
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
