Construction Manager

About the opportunity
In this key leadership role, you will report to the Building Manager as a key member of the MJH construction leadership team. The primary focus of this role will be to oversee all residential construction projects in your region, providing leadership to Area Managers and Construction Supervisors to ensure time, quality, safety and compliance goals are achieved.
* Execute the construction strategy and drive the achievement of KPIs to a high standard
* Ensure that Site Supervisors and Area Managers are appropriately resourced to maintain construction timeframes, reduce ETSs and provide a good build experience for customers
* Provide leadership, support, and governance to the Construction and Service & Warranty teams
* Conduct meetings to provide clarity on department and company goals and objectives, highlighting industry trends and improve overall alignment and engagement
* Monitor site set up to ensure safe, sustainable, efficient and effective practices
* Ensure homes are consistently built, completed on time and the level of quality is equal to the display home finish
* Ensure WH&S is at the forefront for all staff and all safety standards are clearly understood and available
* Provide regular training and upskilling to ensure Site Supervisors and Area Managers are continually learning and improving capability
* Resolve escalated building related issues and problems throughout the construction process
About you
* Experience in a senior construction management role with expertise in project management
* Proven leadership skills within the residential construction industry
* Excellent understanding of building regulations and ability to ensure homes are built in accordance with all standards and regulations
* A valid building trade certificate
* Ideally a tertiary qualification in Building and Construction
* Experience using Companion will be highly regarded
* Ability to lead and drive a team to deliver high quality projects
* Effective decision making and problem‐solving skills
