Our local government client is looking for a Project Coordinator with civil experience to join their team for a minimum 6 month contract. Experience in civil construction, project management, contract management or similar industries will be highly regarded.
The role is based in central Sydney and will pay the right person between $50 and $70 per hour.
**Key accountabilities**
- Work closely with staff to deliver the objectives of infrastructure & traffic Operations
- Provide assistance to the program team delivering work programs and managing service and lump sum contracts.
- Provide assistance for the delivery of capital and operational work delivered by internal staff and contractors.
- Provide support and assistance for the general activities of the unit.
- Undertake investigations and scoping works and provide accurate administrative assistance for the unit.
- Assist in the development and management of service and lump sum contracts.
- Identify opportunities for improvements in policy and procedure using creative problem-solving techniques
- Procurement of goods and services for the unit and assist in reconciling all creditor invoices and purchase orders.
**Key challenges**
- Managing multiple tasks from multiple people delivering across the unit.
- Audit and report on worksite quality, safety and environmental work practices
- Tracking of business tasks to report progress and costs for their completion
- Provide support to different areas of the Capital Work Program by supplementing capacity as required
