About the role
Bundy Chop Shop is seeking an experienced Butcher Shop Manager to oversee the operations of our busy butcher shop in Bundaberg North, Queensland. As a full-time role, you will work alongside the owner managing all aspects of the shop, from customer service and staff supervision to inventory control and financial reporting.
What you'll be doing in coordination with the owner
* Supervising and coordinating the work of a team of skilled butchers and shop assistants
* Ensuring high standards of customer service, product quality, and food safety
* Managing inventory, ordering stock, and maintaining optimal stock levels
* Overseeing the financial performance of the shop, including cash handling, banking, and reporting
* Implementing and monitoring operational procedures and policies
* Promoting the shop and its products to attract new customers and increase sales
* Collaborating with the broader business to support the company's strategic objectives
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a butcher or in a managerial role within the butchery industry
* Strong customer service skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team
* Excellent knowledge of meat cuts, processing, and food safety regulations
* Proficient in inventory management, financial reporting, and operational planning
* A passion for the butchery trade and a commitment to providing high-quality products
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
