We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our busy team in Melbourne, working on a major construction project.
About the role
The primary function of the Project Engineer is to manage concurrent projects relating to end‐to‐end build and install activities, upgrades and the resolution of technical issues on major projects to meet appropriate quality standards.
The below details many aspects of the role and what we require:
* Demonstrate a thorough understanding of WHS systems, processes and procedures.
* Deliver designs in line with Project Manager and customer requirements.
* Provide solution support services including testing and commissioning.
* Work closely with the delivery team to ensure all aspects of the design and delivery are adhered to.
* Produce high‐quality design documentation with sound technical performance for customers.
* Work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate start dates, site inductions, inspections, material delivery and resolve site‐based design and construction issues efficiently.
* Manage sub‐contractors and other resources to deliver the project within set timelines.
* Ensure projects operate within time and budget restraints and follow necessary procedures to articulate any issues affecting the achievement of project objectives.
* Ensure seamless completion of all necessary project documentation.
About you
You will ideally have:
* Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Engineer, with demonstrated growth in your career to Project Engineer level.
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and experience working in a telco, electrical engineering or related infrastructure environment.
* Proficiency in documentation and design, including the ability to read and interpret designs.
* Strong technical capabilities, superior problem‐solving skills and demonstrated relationship‐building and well‐developed influencing skills.
