Our Role
Are you a constructive and inclusive leader with a passion for safety, efficiency, and operational excellence? Graymont is seeking a dedicated Plant Manager for our Galong operations, located near Yass and Young NSW. The Plant Manager plays a crucial role in enabling the safe, quality production and delivery of high-quality lime and limestone products while fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Key Focus Areas The Role Will Include
Lead safe, effective, and cost-efficient site operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance value creation.
Set and monitor performance expectations for all aspects of safety, production, mining, quality assurance, maintenance, and community engagement.
Develop and mentor your team to build capability and engagement.
Cultivate strong relationships with employees, customers, contractors, and the community.
Coordinate risk management activities to safeguard our operations.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure reliable and consistent operations.
Ensure compliance with legislation and company policies.
Manage operational budgets to maximize efficiency and achieve required Operating Expenditure (OpEx).
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications:
Required Credentials
Proven experience in leading operations in industrial manufacturing environments such as lime, cement, asphalt or others.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical disciplines and develop a continuous improvement culture.
Advanced people leadership and development skills with measurable team engagement and skill results.
Desirable Credentials
Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, engineering, leadership or similar.
Experience in driving effective change management in a unionised environment.
Financial Analysis skills.
Tier 1 Mine Manager's certification/ticket is advantageous but not essential.
