Production Operator (Yarraville, Victoria)
The Production Operator role is a Full-Time position, based at Yarraville, VIC. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the operation of the Gyprock workstations and the efficient production of Gyprock, while maintaining quality, low cost, and safe work practices.
The main purpose of this role will be to assist in the production of Gyprock, Cornice, Plasters & Compounds products.
Shift Pattern: 12 hour shifts rotating working day (06:00-18:00) and night (18:00-06:00). Every 2nd weekend will be off – Fri, Sat and Sun.
In This Role You Will
* Champion a safety-first culture within the factory in pursuit of a zero-harm environment ensuring to Never Walk Past.
* Operate automated machinery and ensure materials are produced to the commercial standard, performing quality checks as required.
* Identify and report equipment and product faults.
* Unload and stage various products.
* Be involved in identifying risks and hazards and contributing to initiatives that focus on improving quality.
* Perform housekeeping and other duties as required.
* Forklift driving required (5T or above). Forklift licence is preferred or willingness to obtain.

* Willingness to work a rotating roster.
* Proven success in a similar role, preferably in a high volume, multiple stage continuous manufacturing/factory environment is desirable.
* Forklift licence preferred.
* Strong understanding of production operations.
