About The Role
The Engagement and Wellbeing directorate is situated within the Support and Inclusion Division.
The Engagement and Wellbeing Directorate develops and provides evidence-based policies, procedures, guidelines and proactive engagement and wellbeing pilots, initiatives and strategies to support education and care settings, foster effective learner participation and engagement for improved learning and wellbeing outcomes. The directorate collaborates across the department and with other jurisdictions, agencies, and sectors to address issues related to behaviour, bullying prevention, child safety, drugs and alcohol, food and nutrition, gender and sexual diversity, mental health and wellbeing, trauma, and violence prevention through strategic solutions.
The directorate provides timely and specialised advice to a range of school/non-school personnel and senior leadership to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people.
The Senior Project Manager will provide expert project management leadership, direction, and policy advice to ensure significant and/or complex projects are delivered on time and within budget.
The Senior Project Manager will lead initiatives that have a focus on bullying and violence prevention, disability inclusion, and early years and, as needed, other portfolio areas.
The Senior Project Manager will work closely with the Assistant Director to determine project visions, goals, outcomes and priorities within the framework of the directorate and corporate plan and the objectives of the directorate, division and department.
Qualifications
Essential: A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent relevant experience in one or more of the following fields: education, public policy, law, psychology, social work or other relevant behavioural/social science.
Desirable: Post-graduate qualification in project management.
Special conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
ASO8 $121,107 - 125,679 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
