Harvey Norman Commercial Division are looking for a support / systems Administrator (mid to senior level) to join our team in Taren Point.
The role of IT Support / Systems Administrator is to provide 1st and 2nd level IT support to Harvey Norman Commercial.
Providing technical assistance to users and support for business systems, ensuring that the business continues to operate effectively.
Develop new solutions to support business processes and initiate new projects.
Maintain and administer existing systems and plan for their upgrades where required.
Role and Requirements
Working closely with internal and external contact points to resolve and review Service Desk tickets
Escalatingof Service Desk tickets for additional resources as required
Continuously prioritising and effectively managing tasks and issues
On a day-to-day basis, providing level 1 and level 2 support for complex systems
Assist with Warehouse Operations and equipment, when necessary, this includes Warehouse scanners, printers, computers and 3rd Party Applications / software.
Troubleshoot Audio Visual equipment which includes Boardroom Monitors / TV, Sound system and screensharing device
Maintain issue logs and produce detailed incident reports
Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Confidently articulating problems, issues and providing solutions
Create and maintain documentation for business systems
Continuously prioritising and effectively managing tasks and issues
Provide successful technical solutions to issues in a timely manner
Provide regular status updates to end users and stakeholders
Share knowledge with other team members
Participate in solution and process improvement
Participate in an on-call roster
Requirements
1 to 3 years' experience in similar roles and be comfortable managing junior staff when required
Experience supporting VMWare VSphere and / or Microsoft Azure is preferred.
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server ****, and Windows 10 and 11 is mandatory
Familiar with procurement and liaising with external stakeholders / vendors
Skilled with IT Asset Management including tracking and maintaining IT equipment and services
Understanding of Command Prompt and Windows PowerShell
Experienced in configuring Windows devices via SCCM, PXE, and standard installation method
Strong Active Directory knowledge
Knowledge of Linux systems
Knowledge of Backup (Symantec Backup Exec) technologies
Experience supporting WMS and Freight Management Systems highly regarded
Sound understanding / knowledge of Network Switches and VLAN concepts.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience writing support documentation.
Strong problem-solving skills.
