About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to coordinate fuel deliveries across the Illawarra, regional NSW and interstate.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role responsible for planning and managing a mixed fleet, including B-Doubles through to medium rigid vehicles. You will oversee both linehaul and day-to-day service-based delivery work, requiring strong judgement, adaptability and a focus on safety, service and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and allocate daily delivery schedules across local and interstate operations
* Optimise fleet utilisation across a mixed fleet (B-Double to medium rigid)
* Monitor live operations and adjust schedules in real time to manage delays and changes
* Liaise with drivers, customers and internal stakeholders to ensure service expectations are met
* Ensure all activities comply with safety, fatigue management and regulatory requirements
* Identify and implement improvements in scheduling, routing and operational efficiency
* Monitor and manage transport-related costs, including fuel, overtime and subcontractor usage
What You’ll Bring
* Proven experience in transport allocation, scheduling or logistics coordination
* Experience working with a mixed fleet and/or linehaul operations (highly regarded)
* Ability to operate effectively in a time-critical, high-pressure environment
* Strong problem-solving capability and commercial awareness
* Clear and confident communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* High level of organisation and attention to detail
* Strong commitment to safety and compliance
Additional Requirements
* Participation in a rotating on-call roster
* Successful completion of pre-employment checks, including medical assessment, drug and alcohol screening, and criminal history check
