ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Key Account Manager to join our Sales Department in 2025. This role will strengthen relationships with the club's valued corporate supporters and high net worth contributors, including the Inner Sanctum, Player Sponsorship, and Foundation Heroes & Legends Groups. The Key Account Manager will work with a dynamic sales team focused on growing the club's commercial and corporate revenue streams.
This is a 9-month, fixed term, full time position.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting directly to the GM - Sales & Business Development, responsibilities include:
* Lead development and execution of product and marketing plans for the club's key corporate membership groups.
* Establish and foster relationships with the Inner Sanctum supporter group, including product development, marketing, sales/renewals, client management, event planning, and delivering unique experiences. Drive deep connection between this group and the club and assist with member renewals and sales.
* Foster relationships with key donors, including the Foundation Heroes & Legends group, with relationship management, event planning, and increasing donations/value back to the club.
* Manage AFL & AFLW Player Sponsor groups, including product development, marketing, benefit delivery, member growth, communication, renewals and sales.
* Champion the use of CRM within the Sales & Events team to track and manage client sales and servicing.
* Collaborate with the events team to deliver best-in-market corporate experiences.
* Coordinate with marketing and communications to plan and execute marketing support for relevant corporate products and serve as the central point of contact for the sales team.
* Act as a key representative to coordinate football talent requests with the football department on behalf of the sales team.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have strong client management experience and commercial acumen, with the ability to lead and deliver commercial strategies, hospitality products, and marketing plans. You should understand financial targets and report on key outcomes while applying an innovative mindset to create unique experiences.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build genuine relationships across industries. You are detail-oriented, able to manage a diverse portfolio of corporate and donor clients, and bring enthusiasm, passion, and a sense of fun to your work.
