We are seeking an experienced
Cloud & IT Systems Administrator
to support a large, enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid IT environment. This contract role suits someone who is hands-on, works well independently, and is comfortable engaging with a range of technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer and support AWS hybrid cloud environments
* Manage AWS accounts, organisations, IAM users, roles, and policies
* Implement and maintain AWS Control Tower
* Deploy cloud infrastructure using Terraform and GitHub Enterprise
* Create and maintain CloudFormation templates
* Analyse cloud logs, metrics, and billing data using Power BI and SQL
* Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell and AWS CLI
* Ensure solutions align with documented architectures, security standards, and policies
* Produce and maintain clear, high-quality systems documentation
* Provide timely and practical advice on cloud services
* Deliver work within agreed timeframes and priorities
Essential Skills and Experience
* Proven experience supporting AWS hybrid cloud environments
* Strong knowledge of AWS Organisations, Config Rules, Service Control Policies, and IAM
* Experience implementing and working with AWS Control Tower
* Solid understanding of identity and access management, including SAML, OAuth 2.0, or OpenID Connect
* Experience creating and managing customer-managed IAM policies
* Hands-on experience with Terraform and GitHub Enterprise
* Experience analysing cloud data using Power BI and SQL
* Experience working with JSON and/or YAML
* Good understanding of cloud security, monitoring, logging, and encryption
* Scripting experience using PowerShell or similar tools
Highly Desirable
* Azure cloud administration experience
* SQL Server administration and T-SQL
* Windows Server administration (2012 R2 or later)
* Experience supporting enterprise environments
* Strong technical documentation skills
