Role Overview
The Project Controls Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and management of project controls systems and processes for the M80 Ring Road Alliance.
This role is crucial in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

The Project
The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.
This includes upgrading 14 km of the M80 between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, scheduled for completion in 2028.
Opportunity Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the overall project controls strategy and plan
* Establish policies, procedures, and guidelines for project controls
* Oversee budgeting, cost control, and forecasting processes
* Monitor and report on project expenditures and variances
* Implement cost-saving measures and corrective actions
* Maintain accurate Earned Value reporting and communicate performance metrics
* Improve and update the Performance Measurement Baseline quarterly
* Provide leadership and support to the Risk Lead within the Project Controls team
* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring contingency plans are in place
* Lead and mentor a team of project controls professionals
* Contribute to the Project Strategic Plan and key people initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or Finance
* Postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications (CPEng, RegPM, PMP) preferred
* Proven experience supporting major civil infrastructure projects as a Project Controls Manager
* Strong communication and leadership skills
