Systems Accountant / Oracle Product Specialist – Utilities Sector – Initial 12-month contract (extensions highly likely) Our client is a well-respected entity undertaking a significant multi-year transformation program. They are seeking a highly experienced Systems Accountant / Oracle Product Specialist to support the delivery of their Capability Uplift Program. This role will act as the functional subject matter expert across Oracle EBS and Oracle EPM, with a particular focus on sourcing, contract management, budgeting and forecasting. You will work closely with Finance, Procurement, Commercial and Technology stakeholders to ensure future-state processes are well designed, governed and embedded across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Act as the functional product specialist for Oracle EBS and Oracle EPM, with an initial focus on sourcing and contract management. Provide subject matter expertise across Oracle EPM modules including planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. Translate finance and procurement business requirements into scalable, fit-for-purpose Oracle solutions. Ensure sourcing and contract structures align with financial controls, governance frameworks and reporting requirements. Support solution design decisions, configuration, business rules and process alignment in collaboration with IT and delivery partners. Lead or contribute to system enhancements, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and maintain functional documentation, process maps and control narratives. Partner closely with Finance, Procurement, Commercial and IT stakeholders, acting as an escalation point for complex functional issues. Support change, communications and training teams through solution walkthroughs and change impact clarification. Mentor internal staff and transition knowledge to ensure long-term capability uplift. The role will be offered as an initial 12-month Day Rate contract with a very flexible hybrid WFH agreement. There will also be a requirement to travel interstate with the rest of the team for 1 week every month, though all costs and allowances are covered. The skills/experience needed will include but not be limited to: Proven experience as a Systems Accountant or Oracle Functional Specialist in large, complex ERP environments. Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Sourcing and Contract Management modules. Demonstrated experience with Oracle EPM (planning, budgeting, forecasting and/or financial reporting). Solid understanding of financial controls, budgeting, forecasting and procurement processes. Experience translating business requirements into system design and functional solutions. Background working on large transformation or implementation programs using Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including experience working with senior leaders. Ability to operate effectively in complex, regulated environments. Want to apply?
