We're currently seeking 2 candidates to fill the position of Warehouse & Dispatch All-Rounder to join our Afternoon team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that offers variety across warehouse operations and customer service support, inside dispatch.
As a Warehouse & Dispatch All-Rounder, you'll be responsible for picking, packing goods for dispatch in accordance with customer orders. You'll also play a key role in providing excellent after-hours customer support. Processing orders, coming through via email and after-hours voice mail, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining smooth operations overnight.
Your specific duties will be allocated by the Warehouse and Customer Service Manager and may vary according to business needs.
This full-time late afternoon shift position runs Sunday to Friday, starting at 4:00pm Finishing at midnight.
Initial training will be conducted, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm in customer service before transitioning to your regular night shift roster.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service/Dispatch Duties
* Process after-hours customer orders received via voicemail, and emails
* Action all email orders, requests and enquires accordingly
* Enter orders accurately into the company system
* Provide timely email confirmations to customers
* Communicate and provide handover to day shift
* Proactively resolve customer issues and escalate as needed
* Support the Customer Service Manager with administrative duties
Warehouse Duties
* Pick orders according to bulk pick sheet and Voice to Pick system by locating items in the warehouse
* Ensure goods picked are correct, intact, in date and clean for the customer
* Ensure items are picked in a timely and efficient manner
* Load picked items onto staging area as directed (may change)
* Use machinery to assist with moving goods around the warehouse. This may include but is not limited to forklifts, manual pallet jacks and flatbed trolleys, with care
General Operational duties
* Ensure safe work procedures are followed when using any machinery
* Assist with picking and packing any last-minute orders as directed by the Warehouse Night Manager or Supervisor
* Report any out-of-stock issues to the Warehouse Night Manager and in accordance with company procedure
* Ensure accuracy when providing out of stock details or any updates to bin/rack locations
* Ensure all tasks are completed in an organized and timely manner
* Ensure goods are handled carefully and stored in accordance with any HACCP guidelines
* Regularly lift and/or move products weighing 500g – 10kg and occasionally lift and/or move products up to 25kg
* Clean and maintain a safe warehouse by ensuring shelves, pallet areas and workstations are neat, aisles are clear from rubbish and emergency exits are always clear and visible every shift
* Comply with the SFD's policies and procedures including the Work Health and Safety program as well as report any incident that can likely pose a risk or hazard in the workplace.

Skills & Experience
* Strong attention to detail
* Physically fit and able to lift/carry items up to 25kg and able to walk, stand, bend and lift for prolonged periods
* Previous experience in a warehouse work environment (Essential)
* Current Forklift license (desirable)
* Previous Experience with Voice to Pick (desirable)
* Good communication skills that reflect a professional but friendly approach to liaise effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures and across multiple departments,
* Highly motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills, has the ability to work effectively in a team or independently with minimal supervision.
* Ability to work well in a busy environment, multitask several duties at once while remaining calm under pressure.
* Possess a sound level of problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions as per company standard
* Ability to provide feedback and handover to day shift
