The role
As a Machine Operator, you will hold a valid Forklift License and bring experience from a similar manufacturing environment. You'll also have a willingness to learn the trade and develop the skills needed to succeed in the role.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a quality assurance environment
- Valid Forklift License
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge and understanding of safety in the workplace
- Ability to use computers for the entry and retrieval of process data and machine operation
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- All successful candidates will be required to undertake a pre‐employment medical including drug & alcohol screening
Responsibilities
- Operating concrete mixing, stacking and splitting machines
- Setting up and installing molds and other machine fixtures
- Setting grinding and cutting edges
- Carry out work in a safe manner, in accordance with safety procedures
- Ensure process efficiencies are achieved and maintained
- Ensure production is in line with the specified production schedule
- Ensure product quality is in accordance with relevant specifications and that process checks are performed as required
- Actively participate in improvement projects
- Manual handling tasks are performed as part of this role
- Be flexible and adaptable with a willingness to embrace shift work
- Comply with all WHS safety practices and procedures
Shift Pattern
You will work across a rotation shift pattern of 4 on 4 off. This includes 2 x 12‐hour day shifts – 6am-6pm, followed by 2 x 12‐hour night shifts, 6pm-6am.
