MC Driver Position
The successful applicant will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant requirements including load restraint and correct loading procedures.
We require a skilled and reliable driver to join our team at our Hazelmere depot, where you will be involved in the safe pick-up and delivery of freight. You must have a valid MC Drivers Licence with 2+ years triple experience and previous experience with over-dimensional, general and ugly freight.
This role offers regular dog runs available for drivers preferring to be home regularly as well as turn arounds for drivers wanting to keep busy during their roster. You will also have the opportunity to work on varied runs throughout the North-West, Goldfields and South-West.
* Responsible for the safe transport and loading of goods
* Ensure that pre-start safety checks are completed on the vehicle and if required organise maintenance
* Actively promote positive behaviours and attitudes in support of company values
* Responsible for the proper collection, processing and handling of freight con-notes and other freight documentation
* Ensure all requirements for transporting Dangerous Goods are followed: displaying correct signage and completing paperwork and documentation
* Inspect loads for damage or issues, report problems and offer suggestions or solutions
Requirements:
* Current MC Drivers Licence with 2+ years triple experience
* Previous experience with over-dimensional, general and ugly freight
* Bulk Dangerous Goods licence; highly desirable
* Load Restraint and Fatigue Management qualified
* Ability to work on a 12:2 roster, permanent ongoing roster
* Current MSIC is highly desirable
* Proven experience in following safety procedures
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
