Technical Sales Specialist for Western and South Australia, Perth based
Are you a dynamic and proactive Technical Sales Specialist with a hunter mindset, interested in selling cutting-edge scientific instruments to clients in industry and academia?
The portfolio includes many market leading products: microwaves for digestion and synthesis, laboratory extrusion devices, measuring instruments for physical properties such as viscosity, water and oil absorption, rheological properties of dough, refractometry, polarimetry and fuel properties.
Responsibilities
* Cold Calling and Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new accounts, leads, and sales opportunities through cold calling and strategic prospecting efforts.
* Direct Sales and Technical Support: Drive sales of Anton Paar laboratory instrumentation by providing expert technical support to customers.
* Customer Account Management: Manage existing customer accounts while generating new revenue through strategic prospecting, effective lead/funnel and territory management across diverse industries and applications.
* Client Engagement: Conduct regular customer site visits to consult on the best measurement solution, perform instrument demonstrations, deliver compelling sales presentations, install new products, and train customers on equipment usage.
* Administrative Duties: Prepare detailed quotes, manage CRM system, and regularly report on territory performance.
* Travel Requirements: Engage in overnight travel (approximately 30%) and occasional international travel for product training.
* Value Proposition: Articulate and reinforce the unique value proposition of Anton Paar's offerings to customers.
Your profile
* Educational Background: Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or similar
* Sales Experience: Minimum of 3 years in technical sales and business development preferably involving analytical instrumentation.
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively across various organisational levels.
* Technical Aptitude: Confident in demonstrating measurement equipment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
* Licenses: Valid driver's license and ownership of a well-maintained vehicle.
* Work Authorisation: Valid work visa for Australia.
