Design the future of electric performance.
EBMX, in collaboration with CYC Group, is seeking a passionate Junior / Graduate Electronic Engineer to join our growing team in Tasmania, Australia.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to work hands-on in the electric vehicle industry — developing, testing, and improving high-performance systems for electric motorbikes and EV platforms.
You'll work closely with experienced engineers to design, test, and integrate electronic systems for our controllers, batteries, and performance accessories.
You'll also assist with on-bike testing and diagnostics, using engineering tools to verify and validate hardware performance in real-world riding conditions.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer with a strong foundation in electronics and a genuine passion for electric vehicles and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the design, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and components.
Support hardware integration across controllers, motors, batteries, and sensors.
Work with senior engineers on schematic design, PCB layout reviews, and validation.
Contribute to prototype builds, test setups, and diagnostic testing on and off the e-moto platform.
Use test tools and software to check and analyse performance of developed hardware in real-world use.
Help refine EV system architecture, including BMS and motor controller connectivity.
Use tools like Python or embedded scripts for data collection and performance testing.
Ideal Skills & Interests
Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
Solid understanding of electronic fundamentals — circuits, sensors, power systems, and PCB design.
Experience or strong interest in EV projects, robotics, or electric motorcycles.
Basic familiarity with microcontrollers (STM32 or similar) and embedded systems.
Understanding or curiosity about BMS, battery systems, and motor control principles.
Hands-on problem-solving ability and enthusiasm for testing hardware in practical environments.
Why Join EBMX & CYC Group
Work with leading innovators in electric motorbike performance systems.
Gain exposure to hardware, firmware, and power electronics development.
Learn directly from experienced engineers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Be part of a growing team shaping the next generation of EV technology.
Location
This role is based in Tasmania, Australia, within a supportive engineering environment that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
