About The Team

The Arts, Events and Libraries Department at the City of Kingston focuses on providing high‐quality learning, recreational, social and cultural outcomes through innovative contemporary programs, activities and events.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced, energetic Senior Audio Visual Technician to join our Arts and Culture Services Team. The incumbent will work across multiple facilities within the Kingston municipality including Kingston Arts Centre, Kingston City Hall (Moorabbin) and Shirley Burke Theatre (Parkdale).

Key Responsibilities

* Lead teams in providing technical support and be proficient in the set‐up and operation of all types of audio, lighting and visual equipment for large and small events.
* Offer advanced knowledge to deliver technical support to the highest standard and develop strong client relations.
* Provide technical solutions to clients, production/theatre companies and artists during events.
* Work rostered shifts Monday–Sunday; casual positions are available.

Job Details

* Salary: $48.31/hr (including 25% loading) plus superannuation.
* Rostered shifts across a seven‐day week with casual positions available.
* Capacity to work across multiple municipal facilities.

* Experience in leading production crew and strong communication skills.
* Demonstrated experience operating sound and lighting consoles, vision and projection equipment.
* Availability for rostered shifts over a seven‐day period.
