This is a MEP Electrical Project Engineer role with Parklife Metro based in Sydney, NSW, AU Parklife Metro Role Seniority - mid level More about the MEP Electrical Project Engineer role at Parklife Metro About Us The Parklife Metro consortium, in partnership with the NSW Government, is delivering one of Western Sydney's most transformative infrastructure projects as part of the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport line. Our consortium—featuring Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild—is delivering this once-in-a-generation project under the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) package. This includes six new stations, a stabling and maintenance facility, rail systems, and a fleet of driverless trains. The Opportunity As an experienced MEP Electrical Project Engineer, you will assist in providing project solutions for high/low voltage and communication infrastructure. This position will support the team to coordinate design, construction and commissioning activities, lead and manage engineering and electrical staff and contractors, plant, and equipment to deliver our project outcomes. Key Responsibilities Supporting the preparation of detailed electrical power and control system designs, including CAD drafting, equipment specification, and project documentation Draft SOW and design documentation for suppliers Participate in auditing and FAT with suppliers and equipment overhaulers Drive product roadmap & initiatives and participate in technical design. Provide design inputs and reviews of other projects. Resolve systematic issues providing short, medium, and long-term solutions. To provide the technical support to the Electrical Superintendent in the coordination meetings with Client and Suppliers and 3rd Parties in general. To provide the technical support in the definition of interface related to Electrical systems with Civil Works, Rail Systems, Rolling Stock, O&M, 3rd Parties in general. Providing support on planning the use of materials, resources, components or systems within the project to ensure project success, value for money and best practice are achieved Coordinating resource allocation with the expectation that you would encourage effective teamwork and foster a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives Interfacing regularly with our internal discipline leads and design teams About You: Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar field 4 years post-graduation experience in engineering Strong knowledge of Electrical system in Metro/Railway environment including:HV/LV Substations Earthing systems LV distribution system (panels, cable ways) Lighting systems Small Power systems ELV systems PV systems Knowledge of Microsoft Suites What We Offer: A career-defining opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, city-shaping infrastructure project.
