The Manager Strategic Services provides leadership of enterprise architecture and portfolio services, including governance, planning, and reporting, to ensure that technology strategies and investments align with departmental priorities.
The Information Management and Technology Division support one of the largest technology networks in Victoria supporting Schools, Corporate and Early Childhood Education with a school user base of more than 1500 Government schools, 50,000 teachers and 650,000 students.
The division leads the department's technology, digital capability, business systems and digital transformation and, as such, is a dynamic and vibrant working environment.
Working within the Office of the Chief Information Officer, reporting to the Deputy Chief Information Officer, this position leads the enterprise architecture and portfolio services, encompassing governance, planning, and reporting, to ensure that technology strategies and investments align with departmental priorities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Systems, Enterprise Architecture, Business, or a related discipline, with significant experience in enterprise architecture, portfolio management, or technology governance within complex organisations.
Capabilities:
Proven ability to lead federated practices, develop enterprise strategies and technology roadmaps, and deliver portfolio reporting to guide investment and organisational maturity uplift. Strong governance and risk management expertise, with experience advising on strategic technology decisions. Excellent oral and written communication and visualisation skills that can transform complex technical concepts into compelling business cases, reports and presentations for senior executives and departmental and school staff.
Desirable:
TOGAF and/or portfolio management certifications (e.g. MoP, MSP), and demonstrated thought leadership in innovation, emerging technologies, and sector-wide improvement.
