Role Overview:
As a Category Specialist, you will be responsible for the execution of strategic sourcing initiatives within packaging. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, ensure supply chain efficiency, and foster mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers. Your expertise will directly impact our products' quality, availability, and overall business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the category manager to develop and implement robust sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and market trends.
- Conduct thorough market analysis and supplier evaluations to identify potential partners.
- Help manage supplier relationships to optimize value for the company.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of sourcing strategies.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive innovation.
- Drive sustainable sourcing initiatives in alignment with company's environmental goals.
- Leverage data-driven insights to make informed decisions and track procurement metrics.
Your Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Category Specialist - Packaging or similar role within the FMCG or related industry.
- Experience in packaging sourcing will be highly regarded
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
