About Us
Agrimate Fencing is a fast-moving commercial and civil fencing contractor delivering projects across Perth and regional WA. We're trusted by major developers, builders, and civil contractors for our reliability, speed, and quality.
As a family-run WA business with strong values and a growing number of install teams, we're now strengthening our operations leadership to support scale.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this is a hands-on Project Manager role with real ownership.
This is not a desk-only role. You'll be in the office and on-site — meeting large-scale clients, coordinating crews, solving problems, and keeping jobs moving.
The Opportunity
You'll work closely with our Operations team to keep multiple commercial fencing projects running smoothly, efficiently, and predictably.
Your core mission is to bring structure, foresight, and calm execution to a high-volume, fast-turnaround trade environment.
Projects range from half-day works to two-week installs, often running concurrently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planning & Delivery
* Manage scheduling and coordination across multiple active fencing jobs
* Oversee clean handover from Sales to Operations
* Develop and adjust job programs (crews, access, sequencing, scheduling)
* Liaise closely with Estimators to ensure scopes are understood and deliverable
* Dynamically re-prioritise work to prevent downtime and bottlenecks
2. Site Execution & Oversight
* Directly manage 10 Team Leads, each responsible for their own fencing crew
* Coordinate daily with the Site Supervisor, who oversees quality and on-site execution
* Conduct site walks, confirm scope, access, and mark-outs where required
* Keep teams accountable to job cards, timelines, and delivery expectations
3. Client & Internal Communication
* Act as the operational point of contact for client PMs, builders, and engineers
* Proactively manage expectations and resolve issues before they escalates
* Feed site and delivery insights back to Estimators to improve quoting and variations
4. Safety & Compliance
* Ensure works are delivered in line with OHSE and site requirements
* Identify risks early and expedite escalation or close out issues promptly
5. Reporting & Workflow Systems
* Track job progress, productivity, variations, and safety metrics
* Keep internal systems up to date (job boards, schedules, documentation)
* Use technology confidently (iPads, job management tools, spreadsheets, AI-enabled workflows)
Skills & Attributes
* Fencing experience is preferred, however strong adjacent experience will be considered
* Comfortable managing multiple crews and team leads in parallel
* Organised, calm under pressure, and able to run many jobs without chaos
* Confident communicator with crews, supervisors, clients, and consultants
* Strong \"make it happen\" mindset — accountable and self-driven
* Tech-comfortable and systems-minded
* Lead in line with company values - mentor your team
Requirements (Essential)
* Experience working for a trade subcontractor (not just head contractors)
* Strong understanding of drawings, scopes, and construction sequencing
* White Card and valid Driver's Licence
* Large mental bandwidth — if you consider yourself an A-player, we want to hear from you.
