About MCLS Europe
Mitsubishi Corporation Life Sciences (MCLS) Europe finds its roots in Japan; and almost all products in our portfolio originate from fermentation processes. With a long tradition of fermentation technologies in Japan, MCLS Europe was established in 2015 to bring the best ingredients to the European market. We implement this with a small and dedicated team of experts and our own R&D facilities in Amstelveen, the Netherlands.
Our current product portfolio exists of savoury ingredients like yeast extracts, sweeteners like maltitol, texturants like carrageenan, enzymes, and a range of nutritional ingredients as well as cosmetics ingredients. EU regulations are continuously evolving, and our customers rely on us that our products are always in compliance. Our product portfolio as well as our customer base is growing. To support this growth, we are currently looking for a QA & regulatory specialist with the ability to develop into a QA & regulatory manager in the near future.

The QA & Regulatory Specialist:

* Will take care of customer questionnaires, sending requested QA documents and answer regulatory questions
* Manage documents from suppliers and customers
* Improve the quality management structure and document management (with Sharepoint and Docubird)
* Update the quality management system (based on BRC for agents & brokers)
* Follows changing and new regulations and take the necessary actions towards suppliers
* Evaluate suppliers on a yearly basis
* Support new suppliers in understanding the EU regulations
* Discuss customer requirements with suppliers
* Handles complaints and non-conformities
* Review complaints and non-conformities on a yearly basis
* Manage internal audits
* Works with multiple functions within the company and with suppliers (mostly Japanese) to align on details of documentation to ensure full food safety and regulatory compliance in order to ensure highest standards


Profiel

* A bachelor's or master's degree in food science/technology, quality/safety/regulatory or related field
* Minimum 2 years' experience, but preferably longer, in a regulatory or quality related area in the life science industry, preferably with ingredients (BtoB), in food, nutritiion or cosmetics
* Ownership and solution driven mindset
* Excellent team working & communication skills in cross functional and highly international environment
* Ability to work structurally and focused with good time management skills
* Ability to work pragmatically and agile in a changing and complex environment
* Resilience and determination to make things happen
* Good skills in MS Office 365
* Fluent in English, additional languages like Dutch, German, French, Japanese are a benefit
* 32-40 hours per week (negotiable)


Aanbod

Contract for 12 months, intention of permanent contract. Market conform salary.
