What You'll Be Doing
We're looking for passionate Registered Nurses ready to take the next step in their nursing career. Your Role Will Include:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology and haematology patients
- Support patients throughout their cancer journey with compassion and expertise
- Administer chemotherapy and other cancer treatments safely
- Monitor patients for treatment side effects and complications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncologists and specialists
- Provide patient and family education about treatments and care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment
Essential Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant nursing experience, preferably in oncology or medical settings
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate approach to patient and family care
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards
- Current CPR certification
Highly Desirable:
- Experience in oncology, haematology, or cancer care
- Chemotherapy administration certification
- Postgraduate qualifications in oncology nursing
- Experience with central line care and blood product administration
- Understanding of cancer treatments and side effect management
