About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Scheduler Estimator to join our team. As a Scheduler Estimator, you will be responsible for interpreting engineering and architectural drawings to prepare reinforcing steel schedules and marking plans, estimating quantities and preparing accurate quotations for customers, liaising with customers to coordinate steel supply and resolve technical or delivery requirements, visiting project sites to solve issues and build strong working relationships, working closely with the scheduling team to learn, share knowledge, and develop your skills, and keeping up to date with technology and developments in the reinforcing steel industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Interpret engineering and architectural drawings to prepare reinforcing steel schedules and marking plans
2. Estimate quantities and prepare accurate quotations for customers
3. Liaise with customers to coordinate steel supply and resolve technical or delivery requirements
4. Visit project sites to solve issues and build strong working relationships
5. Work closely with the scheduling team to learn, share knowledge, and develop your skills
6. Keep up to date with technology and developments in the reinforcing steel industry
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with a background in civil engineering, concrete structures, or construction (formal degree not required). You should have a strong ability to interpret engineering or architectural drawings, excellent attention to detail, numerical skills, and problem-solving ability, strong communication and customer service skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team environment.
