Salary: Non-award role, $160,000 p.a. FTE + super (pro-rata for part-time) + salary packaging to increase your take-home pay, and wellbeing benefits.

Our multidisciplinary team delivers support across mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drugs, and work and study.

About the Role
headspace Katoomba is seeking a passionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary youth mental health team on a part-time basis (1 day per week).
In this role, you will provide advanced, holistic and person-centred care to young people, supporting their mental health and wellbeing within a collaborative primary care setting. You will work closely with clinicians, GPs and allied health professionals to assess, diagnose, treat and manage a range of health concerns, with a strong focus on preventative care and early intervention.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a youth-focused service that supports the mental, physical and social wellbeing of young people in the Blue Mountains community.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment within Nurse Practitioner scope of practice
* Prescribe medications and order and interpret diagnostic tests
* Deliver coordinated care and case management for young people
* Collaborate with GPs, allied health professionals and community services
* Monitor psychotropic medications using evidence-based approaches
* Promote preventative health and wellbeing strategies
About You
You are an experienced Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of young people and thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
You will bring:
* Registered Nurse with AHPRA, including endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner as per the Nursing & Midwifery Board Guidelines on endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.
* Eligibility to access Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS) and Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
* Demonstrated experience providing advanced clinical nursing care
* Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and referral
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team-based model of care
* Experience or interest in youth health or mental health services (highly desirable)
