**Transportation Team Lead Role at Cummins Inc.**
We are seeking an experienced transportation professional to lead our team in Scoresby, Australia.
This role will be the first point of contact for logistics service providers and internal stakeholders, managing a high volume of international shipments.
You will work closely with material planners, customs brokers, and warehouse operations on a daily basis.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage inbound international shipments (FCL, LCL, Air, and Courier) from global suppliers for on-time delivery to Cummins South Pacific sites in Australia.
* Coordinate shipments with internal stakeholders and freight forwarders on delivery schedules.
* Ensure all shipment documentation is compliant with Customs regulations before import.
* Collaborate with the Quality team to review damaged goods upon receipt.
* Resolve shipment claims related to damage or discrepancies and liaise with insurance providers.
* Maintain accurate master data tracking to ensure up-to-date shipment visibility.
* Analyze Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans.
* Execute daily operational logistics processes.
Requirements:
* 4+ years of experience in import logistics, preferably in a leadership role.
* Experience managing high-volume inbound and outbound flows.
* In-depth knowledge of Import/Export shipping procedures and documentation.
* Familiarity with Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI is desirable.
